By reinventing the relationship between the structure, the façade, and the landscape, the building integrates itself within its industrial context and creates a sense of discovery and invitation for both pedestrians and drivers along the avenue. The façade, made of the largest single expanse of glass in Africa, is formed by the juxtaposition of laminated glass along the building’s length. The façade is detached from the structural framework, and it is this shift which animates the perception of the building by conferring a sense of lightness and luminosity which showcases the vehicles day and night.
The primary structure of the building is composed of six steel gantries spaced on a grid of nine meters. Between each structural frame, the glass facade creates a sense of total transparency throughout the entire length of the building. The glazed envelope wraps over the roof, thereby clearly expressing the notion of a pure glass volume suspended from its structural frame.

C’est en réinventant le rapport entre la structure, la façade et le paysage que nous proposons un bâtiment qui tout en s’intégrant dans un contexte industriel donne à l’espace un caractère commercial. La façade autoporteuse est détachée de la structure par des portiques. C’est ce décalage qui anime la perception du bâtiment et lui confère une légèreté et une luminosité qui permettra de présenter les véhicules de jour comme de nuit. La structure générale de l’édifice est constituée de six portiques en profil acier. Entre chaque portique, les verres offrent une transparence totale sur toute la longueur du bâtiment. L’enveloppe vitrée se retourne en toiture afin d’exprimer clairement une volumétrie de verre suspendue aux portiques.
